Faculty Resources for Moving Courses Online

Because many faculty will be attempting to determine what resources are available to them this summer as they are preparing to go online in the Fall and have the time to reflect on what their courses might look like, I have helped to set up this resource page.  I borrow heavily from the PIVOT training that I received at UMBC, and will include links to the DOIT site at UMBC.

One note for those at UMBC, moving to Blackboard Ultra will provide a link to students which provide them with information they may need to use certain technologies in your classroom.  This is actually built into the shell of the introduction to the class when you migrate from Blackboard Original to Ultra.  Click this link to see what is available to them.

My focus is also on ensuring other faculty particularly in political science can use this as a shared resources.  So, here are some technologies- but I begin with a matrix of various technologies for synchronous and asynchronous delivery.

I will be adding resources to accompany the table above.  I see the table above as dynamic, and seek your input to adapt it in a way that is useful.  Below, see the links to various resource pages.  I will also be including videos on how to use some of these technologies and videos that are student focus that you can embed into your course (e.g. A tutorial for students on how to use Voice Thread).
